Product Description
Manufactured by a Certified US Government Contractor. Made from 100% heavy duty nylon material. 550 lbs. strength tested. 7 strand cord with 3 ply inner strands. 5/32" (4 mm) in diameter. A must have for any survival kit. Cord is quick drying and also mold, mildew, rot and UV resistant.

To be certified for military and government use the paracord must pass rigorous tests of strength, durability, consistency, and quality. This paracord is made of continuous filament nylon with an intricately woven outer sheath and 7 twisted strands of nylon inside. The sheath alone has a break strength of approximately 300 lbs and each of the 7 strands of twisted nylon inside have a break strength of approximately 50lbs (each of these twisted 7 strands are comprised of 3 individual strands). In tests this paracord meets and in many cases well exceeds the 550 lb break strength. This cord is very useful in a survival situation because the many parts make it very versatile and its overall strength is unbeatable for its size. It is easy to cut and splice back together by melting to form different shapes and lengths. The outer sheath is very resistant to abrasion which makes the cord very reliable even under harsh conditions.

Uses for this cord include: Survival Kits, Tie Lines, Securing Equipment, Shoelaces, Hanging Food from Bears, Vehicle Tie Downs, Repairing Equipment, Handle Wraps, Making a Fire Bow, Fishing Line, Paracord String for a Bow, Making a Shelter, Trail Markers, Fish Gill Nets, Fishing Line, Animal Snares, Clothes Lines, Lanyards, Anchor Line, Binding, Twine, Animal Restraints, Tooth Floss, Splints, Tourniquet, Paracord Braiding, Bracelets, & Other Paracord Crafts.
